Utilitarian New Yorker meets classic Americana to rework the iconic G.H. Bass & Co. Logan Penny Loafer this AW18. We are pleased to bring you a collaboration with Daiki Suzuki’s New York-based cult fashion brand, Engineered Garments, creating a slip-on loafer that reflects strong values of craftsmanship and heritage.

Remixing vintage American workwear with an unmistakable Bass silhouette

Suzuki’s approach to design is inspired by a love of classic American outdoor wear and workwear, combined with a construction-like method of garment production to bring together different ideas. Coupled with the G.H. Bass & Co. ethos of crafting honest, hard service footwear, the capsule collection is a match made in heaven, remixing vintage American workwear style with an unmistakable Bass silhouette.

"There is nothing more authentic then the Weejun. With its original last, it's the classic penny loafer style; versatile, you can really wear with anything. For the EG collaborative effort it was all about subtle details, the classic way Engineered Garments does mismatch styles, created with texture, combining stamped leathers to create something new in a way that is slightly left."

The embossed, slip-on Penny Loafer is available in both black and dark brown leather, with an asymmetrical reptile outer that reflects the signature Engineered Garments style of creating something truly unique by bringing together mismatched textures. With its natural leather lining and gold embossed G.H. Bass & Co. stamp, the overall effect is a striking contrast that adds a modern edge to your look.
